Goal Puerto Rico! A long goal kick by Gaudette comes off an FAS defender to Addlery, and he takes two steps before firing past a rushing Contreras. 4-1 to the home side and a solid victory is minutes away from completion.
83′ Addlery controls in the area and passes back for Gbandi at the top, but the sub’s shot is high on his first touch.
82′ S. Gbandi enters the game and replaces O. Telesford.
Telesford looks to have picked up a bit of a hamstring issue, and coach Colin Clarke immediately withdraws him for Sandy Gbandi.
80′ R. Solis enters the game and replaces W. Reyes.
Final change of the match for the Salvadorans as Ramón Solis replaces goalscorer Reyes.
79′ Faña looks for space on the right, but Granadino crowds him out and wins a throw for FAS.

57′ Hard to say who is more likely to score here, as both sides are moving up and down pretty well in attack.
55′ Close-range header by Reyes is palmed away by Gaudette. FAS get a corner, but nothing comes of it. Good chance for the visitors there.
53′ C. Alvarez gets yellow.
Hansen is harshly clipped down in the center circle, and that produces the first booking of the match as Álvarez is the guilty party.

Minute Description
45′ +3 Gaudette is forced into a save as the half-time whistle goes. A shocking turn at the end as Faña’s fortunate second gives the hosts a 3-1 lead at the break.
45′ +1 J. Faña Frias has scored a goal for Puerto Rico Islanders! Assist by B. Gaudette. Goal Puerto Rico! What a turn of events on the stroke of half-time as Gaudette’s punt falls in between defenders, allowing Faña to slot home. Gaudette will get the assist, but some shoddy defending has helped Puerto Rico to a third.
45′ One minute set to be added on.
43′ Daniel swings in the free kick, but Contreras punches away. Telesford serves it back in for Horst, but FAS clear.
42′ Matters have noticeably calmed after that furious eight-minute sequence in which three goals were scored. Puerto Rico will be very happy to get this to half-time still in the lead.
41′ Another long throw from the left by Vélez is just out of the reach of Hansen, who was acrobatically flying in at the back post.
39′ Moscoso has a fancy from 40 yards out, but his shot never troubles Gaudette.
37′ Moscoso finds Peña at the top of the area, but his turning shot is right in the waiting arms of Gaudette.
36′ Telesford clips down Bentos on the left, and FAS have a free kick on the touchline.

32′ Richard Martínez with a long ball to the left for Faña, but the Dominican striker is ruled offside.
30′ Thirty minutes played in an unreal first half so far. Puerto Rico dominated to a 2-0 lead but FAS responded quickly and are now in the ascendancy for a possible equalizer. Still an hour of this madness left to go.
29′ A great save by Gaudette keeps things level. Moscoso’s cross from the left is flicked to the spot by Reyes, but Bentos’ header is turned aside.
27′ The corner amounts to nothing, and everyone in the stadium is still left to catch his or her breath after that crazy sequence. Meanwhile, Villaroel took an inadvertent poke in the eye from Bentos, and he’ll have to go off for a moment.
26′ Craziness has ensued in Puerto Rico, and the hosts have a corner thanks to the work of Keon Daniel on the right.
24′ W. Reyes has scored a goal for FAS! Assist by A. Bentos.
Goal FAS! The Salvadorans respond. A cross in from the right by Alejandro Bentos finds Williams Reyes at the near post for the finish past Gaudette. Some slack defending let Reyes in, and the keeper is none too happy about that one.
22′ J. Faña Frias has scored a goal for Puerto Rico Islanders! Assist by N. Addlery.

18′ FAS will need to regroup now and find some attacking prowess as Puerto Rico have really controlled from the outset here.
16′ D. Foley has scored a goal for Puerto Rico Islanders!

9′ Juan Carlos Moscoso lofts in a ball from the left, but Peña’s looping header is well off the mark. He had to deal with Kevon Villaroel in the air on that one.
8′ Near miss there on the set piece for the home side as Addlery heads Joshua Hansen’s free kick just wide at the far post.
7′ Free kick 40 yards out for Puerto Rico as Jonathan Faña is sandwiched by Salazar and Gilberto Murgas.
5′ David Foley and Miguel Granadino chase a ball in the corner, but the Puerto Rico attacker fouls from behind. Deep free kick for FAS.
4′ David Horst gets the ball in a dangerous spot for Puerto Rico, but he is noticeably frustrated as Brizan whistles for a foul.
3′ Christian Álvarez clatters into the back of Addlery in the air, and Puerto Rico have a free kick at midfield.
2′ Much like in their first game, FAS look content to attack down the left with Roberto Peña and Manuel Salazar, so the Puerto Rico defense will have to be alert on that side.
1′ Tonight’s referee is Neal Brizan of Trinidad & Tobago, and his whistle gets this match under way. And right off the bat, the Islanders win an early corner. On the corner, Nicholas Addlery tries a daring overhead that sails high.
Good evening from Bayamón in Puerto Rico as Matchday 2 of the 2010/11 CONCACAF Champions League continues with Puerto Rico Islanders playing host to FAS of El Salvador. Both sides are seeking their first win of Group D play after Puerto Rico drew 1-1 with Olimpia and FAS played to a goalless draw against Toluca. Each side in the group has one point, and a victory here would do wonders for quarterfinal hopes.
