2009 USL-1 “Normalized” Standings – Week #3

The Puerto Rico Islanders defeated the Montreal Impact 3-2 in “normal” week-3 action to rise a spot (2nd place) with 7 points, only 2 points behind the leading Carolina Railhaks, in this “normal” week’s standings.

In other 3rd “normal” week action this weekend, the Portland Timbers got their first win of the season, while the 2008 USL-2 Champion Cleveland City Stars allowed 3 more goals (9 goals allowed so far this season) to lose their 3rd straight game of the season.

    wow, PRIslanders would be so much better off if scores in the USL counted in this normalized format.
