Islanders drop first ever against Portland in Bayamón

By: BoriQa | May 24th, 2009

The Islanders lost their first home game ever against the Timbers tonight 2-1 at Juan Ramón Loubriel.

Portland’s Mandjou Keita scored again tonight to open the score 1-0 for the Timbers on the 24′. It was Keita’s 2nd this weekend in Puerto Rico (he also score on Friday night).

The Islanders tied the game 1-1 on the 34′ on a goal by John Krausse, assisted by Jonathan Steele (his 1st of the year). But the Timbers didn’t even wait for the Islanders fans to finish celebrating the Puerto Rican goal, when just a minute later (35′) Mamadou Danso scored the 2nd goal for the visitors.
