The Puerto Rico Islanders lost in week-7 “normal” action, as they lost to Portland for the first time ever at Juan Ramón Loubriel stadium 2-1 to the Timbers. The Islanders now hold a 3-2-1 [W-T-L] record against the Timbers in Bayamón.

The Islanders (9 pts) dropped to 7th place in the “normal” standings, 4 points behind Rochester. The Rhinos defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1, to take away the lead from the Canadians (11 pts) who dropped to 5th place this week. Both the Carolina Railhawks and the Charleston Battery won their respective games this week, to tie the Rhinos on the top with 13 points.
