2009 USL-1 “Normalized” Standings – Week #11

The Puerto Rico Islanders suffered a dissapointing draw in front of their home fans in week-11 “normal” action, that saw the Islanders (16 pts) drop a spot to 5th place (tied with Miami FC) in the “normal” standings this week, 7 points behind the league leading Charleston Battery and Carolina Railhawks who remain tied on the top with 23 points.

Both leaders also suffered draws week to maintain their same distance from their Islanders. The Portland Timbers (20 pts) also tied this week and are still in 3rd place, 3 points behind the league leaders.

The surprise result this “normal” week was Cleveland’s 3-0 trouncing of the Rochester Rhinos. It was only the 2nd win for the City Stars this season. The USL newcommers remain pegged to 10th place in the standings for the thïrd week in a row with 8 points.

Miami FC and Montreal Impact were the other winners this “normal” week-11.

The Vancouver Whitecaps, Minnesota Thunder and Austin Aztex were all lossers this week.

Charleston Battery remains undefeated with 6 wins and 5 ties.
