Islanders to take on Marathon in the quarterfinals

The Puerto Rico Islanders will take on Marathon from Honduras in the CONCACAF Champions League quaterfinals to start with the first leg at Juan Ramón Loubriel stadium in Bayamón, Puerto Rico on February 26. The Islanders will return Marathon the visit in Honduras on March 5.

The Puerto Rico Islanders FC will hold open tryouts for the 2009 season on January 22nd to the 24th. Players must be present for all sessions to be considered.

Islanders’ Vice-President Jorge Pierluisi informed us today that the team’s management met with Colin Clarke on Saturday (December 6th) to discuss the findings from his talent seeking trip to Argentina.
